AMEC gives you the opportunity to enjoy maths and engineering, to develop creative thinking ability and problem solving skills, as well as teamwork.  

  • No prior knowledge on programming required!
  • Identify Problems at home and community and Create Solution from Engineering Project!


AMEC encompasses robotics workshop, robotics competition, engineering-challenge activities, as well as team bonding activities to make friends from students from all over the region.   The robotics competition encourages participants to design and conceive innovative solutions to challenging tasks that will only be revealed during the competition. Students are expected to work in a team to accomplish the tasks in a specific timeframe.  AMEC will provide students with opportunities to develop their creative thinking ability and problem solving skills, as well as teamwork.

For the first time, we are opening AMEC to the junior students as young as 9 years old.  Junior students will go through brain storming to identify the technology solvable problems and learn the programming using microcontroller kit in the invention challenge session.

Robotics Workshop, Competition and invention challenge are powered by NullSpace (YA’s value partner), a Singapore based company which has been conducting robotics, science and enrichment programmes for Singapore Schools under Ministry of Education.

AMEC Junior is open for students aged 9 to 12 years old, and AMEC senior is open for students aged 13 to 16 years old.
